Description
Five matching antique ceramic glazed 6 inch square tiles made by Minton of Stoke-on-Trent, around 1900 probably. Commonly used in old cast iron fireplaces (they usually have 5 down each side) or in wash stand splashbacks, though they can be used in lots of decorative situations. These ones have a brown monochrome, transfer printed design, under the glaze, with a simple geometric design using floral elements.

Barnaby's of Battle has clarified that the Set of 5 Antique Minton Fireplace Tiles Geometric Floral Design (102) (LA561967) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1900's
condition
Condition is pretty good: one has a slightly chipped corner (see pics) and there are various other scuffs and dings though nothing unexpected for the age. A rust stain in the glaze on one.
