Set of Three Art Nouveau Majolica Fireplace Tiles, c.1900

A matched trio of English Art Nouveau relief tiles, circa 1895–1910, each 15 cm (6 in) square. Press-moulded pink wild rose with yellow centre set against flowing whiplash foliage and a pooled green ground—classic late Victorian/Edwardian fireplace ware from the Staffordshire potteries. Unmarked, as many trade-supplied tiles were, but typical of makers such as H&R Johnson or Pilkington. Condition: sound with attractive age crazing; small edge nicks and minor fritting, one tile with a couple of larger edge chips; light cosmetic touch-ins optional. Clean and ready to display or reuse in a fireplace, splashback, or as wall art. Dimensions: 15 x 15 cm each; approx. 8 mm thick.
