The amount of fossils in the marble is incredible. The other two have pink, red, terracotta, ivory and green throughout the vertical veins, simple stunning. Marble is a metamorphic rock, which means ‘rock that has changed’. Metamorphic rocks are formed from other materials already existing on the earth’s surface. Igneous rocks are formed directly from lava or the earth’s molten core. Marble is formed from limestone. In geological terms, Marble is a crystallized form of limestone or dolomite. Only selling as a set. Period: The marble could be over 10,000 years old due to the fossils. Estimated to be 20th century. Either way you have some extraordinary history just in the marble its self. Material: Marble Approximate Dimensions: Largest 25cm high, Middle 20.5, smallest 15.5cm. Condition: As you can imagine our products had a life before we got them. Therefore, you will see signs of ageing, wear, fading & marks which create their unique look. Overall the condition is a good condition commensurate with its age.
