Ships Naval Chest

a rare naively painted folk art sea mans chest in original condition still supporting its rope carrying handles, the ship painted to the inner lid, with a candle box fitted. Signs of wear consistent with its hard life at sea from the East Indian man Clipper Robert Jenkins out of Porthmadog, North Wales, named after the illustrious famous Welsh buccaneer from Llanelli master mariner who sailed out of wales for the east india company in the 18th century. Untouched not repainted all left in its original state. A fine piece of marine folk art
