Silver Pocket Watch Chain Photo Fob 1960s Large Ornate Vintage German Fob

Gentleman's large solid silver (stamped) ornate photograph fob in the Victorian style by Andreas Daub (Germany). C ~1960s. (Please excuse all the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. Measures; 3.9cm height (including the top ring), 2.9cm width and weighs a very respectable 11.1 grams. Wonderful five sided fob which is beautifully and elaborately adorned to the front and back with leaves and scroll work set upon an attractive engine turned background. Both sides are free from any inscriptions or initials. Opens up correctly, closing tightly with a very reassuring click and the hinge to base is true and firm with absolutely no play. Inside are two circular shaped compartments to display photographs of loved ones. Amazingly both are still complete with their original clear celluloid lenses and silver retaining rings. Secure silver top ring (sealed link) which is clearly stamped with the silver purity; 925 and carries the makers initials; A*D - Andreas Daub, Pforzheim, Germany (one of the leading high quality jewellers of the era, established in 1872). Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage or wear and just some extremely light and fine little (micro) overall surface scratches (showing under eyeglass) commensurate with age.
