Here we have a small proportioned English antique Georgian, George III, Cuban Mahogany and Walnut Crossbanded Chest of 5 Drawers with brass swan neck handles and it stands on bracket feet. This is reddish brown colour and a great quality piece with all original brass handles and key inscriptions, it has oak lined drawers and fine dovetails on every drawer. What is Cuban Mahogany? Cuban mahogany is a specific type of mahogany known for its exceptional density, strength, and dimensional stability, making it a highly prised wood for fine furniture and musical instruments. Cuban mahogany is considered one of the "true mahoganies" along with Honduran and Mexican mahogany. It differs from other mahoganies due to its superior working qualities, rich reddish-brown colour, and ability to hold fine details when carved.
