This delightful Victorian solid silver mustard pot is hallmarked for Birmingham 1894 and was made by the prolific William Devenport. The cylindrical body with a lobed lower section and very decorative embossed and engraved decorations. The domed hinged cover with conforming decorations and ball finial. The base raised on four ball feet. The back with a ring handle. Fitted with a blue glass liner and sold with a mustard spoon dated Birmingham 1921 and made by William Suckling Limited. Hallmarks: WD for William Devenport Lion Passant Birmingham Assay Mark Date letter "v" for 1895
