Description
A solid silver 19th Century Portuguese toothpick holder, Atlas and the world, Oporto c.1843-1853. Only 3/4 marks, the City mark, P, c.1843-53 according to Tardy, clashing with the assay scrape, the maker’s mark FDG(?), and another unrecognised, all pictured. Wonderful casting of Atlas carrying our problems. Great patina.
