Sovereign Case Fob Victorian 1890s Chunky Brass Pocket Watch Chain Antique Fob

Victorian Gentleman's chunky Antique highly ornate Sovereign case pocket watch chain brass fob. (Please excuse all the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. Measures; 4.7cm height (including the top ring), 3.3cm width, 1.5cm depth and weighs a heavy 25.6 grams. Wonderful pocket watch shaped chunky brass Sovereign case fob which is beautifully adorned to the front cover with a large daisy flower to centre surrounded by elaborate scrollwork set upon an attractive engine turned background. Springs open correctly when the top button is depressed. Hinge is good with a little bit of play as to be expected. The back is clearly stamped to centre; Prov.Protd (proven protected). Inside is a raised, spring loaded compartment (complete with original faux coin) to hold securely a full Sovereign or similar. The internal front cover has the original red baise which can easily be removed if desired. Firm secure top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with amazingly no indentations and just a little bit of overall patina / surface scratches commensurate with age.
