Description
This is a very tactile spectacles case which is made of papier mache but is painted to give the appearance of tortoiseshell, with an attractive gilded central design and border. The opening is hinged at the back at one end - called a "frog's mouth" opening! The exterior is in very good condition, but the internal fabric is rather worn at the top, consistent with regular use over a long period of time!
