Description
Exceptionally rare Edwardian novelty silver pincushion in the form of a St Bernard dog. This little fellow has blue glass eyes, and is in excellent condition. The maker's mark is TMV which is associated with pocket novelty silver items produced by a poorly documented manufacturer in 1902-3. The Birmingham silver assay and date mark are both visible. The pin cushion has the original but worn velvet cushion. It weighs 14g and measures 55 x 40 x 20mm
