Description
This is an early 19th Century Staffordshire Pearlware figure dating from around 1820. The figure is an allegorical representation of 'Peace' and shows a classical maiden burning weapons of war at her feet. It has the usual light bluey grey hue and beautifully soft colours which are typical of Pearlware from this period and stands on a simple square base. The arm has been reattached the figure is otherwise in good order with some rubbing to the glaze and small chip to robe at the back.
