Staffordshire 'Toby' Pepper Pot c.1850 This lovely little pepper pot is made in the shape of a rotund Toby type figure holding a mug of ale. The figure is painted in the round with polychrome overglaze enamels and cobalt blue coat. His yellow tricorn hat has multiple holes for the pepper shaker. condition

The piece is in very good condition with no cracks or restoration. The colours are bright and well painted, just some rubbing to the orange colour on his trousers which is quite common with the overglaze enamels. Please inspect the photographs closely to assess the condition and quality of this lovely pepper pot.
