Sterling Silver Brooch

Rare and unusual very small size copy of a Ritchie design sterling silver brooch shield brooch., by C.A.I. Celtic Art Industries, a Hamish Dawson-Bowman enterprise. The brooch is one inch across and substantially made, good weight of 9.5 grams of sterling silver, made in the late 1940s or early 1950s, decorated to the front with Celtic Knot and triskele forms. Stamped to the reverse "C.A.I.--Iona--Scotland--Sterling", with a good rollover safety catch.
