Sterling Silver Buckle Bangle Vintage 1977 Victorian Style Bracelet 7" Length

Fabulous vintage solid sterling silver (fully hallmarked) chunky bangle/bracelet with large feature Victorian style buckle to centre. C~ 1977 (Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth 11). (Please excuse all the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 7" / 18cm internal circumference (gap is 4.5cm/1 3/4") and weighs a very respectable 22 grams. Carries a very attractive diamond cut acanthus leaf decoration all around set upon an ornate engine turned background - reflects the light beautifully. Large feature Victorian style hinged buckle to centre which measures 1.8cm x 1.7cm. Opens up correctly (hinge is true and firm with absolutely no play) and closes securely by pushing the end of the bangle through the slot located at the back of buckle and clicking it over the centre pin. Just to the side of the buckle is a little oblong shaped, highly polished plaque which could be engraved with the new owners initails if desired. Clearly and fully hallmarked to the inside (within different shaped, recessed cartouches) with the Lion passant (Sterling silver), anchor (Birmingham assay) and scrolled capital letter; C - dating to 1977 and carries the left facing head of Queen Elizabeth 11 (to commemorate her Silver Jubilee). Also stamped within an oblong shaped, recessed cartouche with a patent number; PATN No. 960949 and carries the makers initial; B. LTD (Bracedon Limited). The opposite side of the bangle is correctly hallmarked with the Lion passant and scrolled capital letter; C. Beautifully made and very comfortable to wear. Excellent, bright, clean condition with no wear or indentations (looks to have had very little use, perhaps only high days and holidays) and just a few overall extremely light and fine little (micro) surface scratches showing under eyeglass only commensurate with age.
