Sterling Silver Cello Box

A novelty silver box in the form of a cello. Finely made with all the elements of the instrument, this is a much sort after collector's piece. The front is decorated with a scene from a tavern, a musician is in full swing. There is a female figure directly under the bridge. She is holding a clean cartouche. To the back of the piece can be found the identical tavern scene. A clip holds the hinged lid firm and can be undone to gain access to the box. The hallmarks for London 1979 can be found on the neck.
