Sterling Silver Fob 1942 Pocket Watch Chain Sweetheart Calling Card Vintage Fob

Vintage solid sterling silver (fully hallmarked) Gentleman's pocket watch chain sweetheart fob in the form of a Victorian calling card. C~1942 (World War 2). Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 3.5cm height (including the top ring), 1.7cm width and weighs 4.9 grams. Wonderful oblong shaped fob which is adorned to the front and back with a slightly raised ornate beadwork decoration. Both sides carry a very attractive slightly raised flower and leaf adornment and large oval cartouche which is stamped to the front; To and the back; From. Fully hallmarked to the back (within different shaped recessed cartouches) with the Lion passant (Sterling silver) anchor (Birmingham assay) and fancy scrolled capital letter; S - dating her to 1942. Also carries the makers initials (again within a recessed cartouche); B.M. Robust secure large silver top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no wear or damage and just a few extremely light and fine overall little (micro) surface scratches commensurate with age.
