Sterling Silver ‘Nestor’ Goblet. Chester 1913. Very good gauge of silver and clearly hallmarked for Chester 1913 by the renowned silversmiths Nathan & Hayes (George Nathan & Ridley Hayes). Stands 5½ inches (14cm) tall and is 6½ inches (16.5cm) across the top of the handles. This goblet was made as a copy of the Mycean 'Cup of Nestor'. The original which is made of solid gold is currently in the collection of The National Archaeological Museum in Athens. Ready to admire. Our ref 8874.
