This is a magnificent, fine and impressive, large antique George V English sterling silver presentation cup with cover made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd; an addition to our presentation silverware collection This exceptional antique sterling silver presentation cup and cover has a plain bell shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The lower portion of the body is encircled with exceptional cast and applied alternating strapwork style ornamentation. The upper rim of this antique silver trophy cup is embellished with a plain applied moulded border. This exceptional example of antique silverware retains the original hallmarked domed push fit cover ornamented with further cast and applied strapwork designs, surmounted with the original and impressive, hallmarked cast finial. This large silver presentation cup is fitted with two impressive cast and applied opposing scroll handles accented with scrolling leaf decorated thumbpieces, in addition to large leaf designs emanating down to the handpieces. This exceptional cup and cover was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd.
