Stunning Pair of Coalport Porcelain Coalbrookdale Rococo Flower Encrusted Vases c.1835

These are a decorative pair of Rococo revival porcelain vases by Coalport.. Flared with pierced details, irregular sawtooth rims and ornate entwined swan neck style side handles and large shaped scrolls to the upper half. Each side has two large intricate porcelain flowers. The lower part is coloured in a bright blue enamel ground, set on four heavily scrolled feet fixed to a quatrefoil base. Painted panels of garden flowers and lots of gilding to the scrolls, base and rims. Unmarked. Reference: Coalport, Messenger, plate 171 for an identical example.
