A super quality pair of Victorian dessert serving spoons with beautifully shaped scallop shell bowls and ornate cast stems mounted with an apostle, well detailed all around. Set in their original black leather fitted case from the retailers Howell & James Ltd of Regent Street (Goldsmiths to Queen Victoria), the interior is a feature of its own in raspberry pink ruched silk and velvet with an unusual intricate plaited silk edging to the velvet.
Hallmarked for Sheffield 1876, makers Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall (Martin, Hall & Co.).
