Description
This wonderful and highly collectable little Victorian Needle Case must be covered in hundreds of tiny little shells. The front of the case forms a simple pattern o f a flower head and the back a stylised pattern o f a leaf. It really is lovely to see an example of this Victorian passion which has such an abundance of shells. Within the case there are 4 cloth pages for the needles.

The Three MusCATeers has clarified that the Stunning Shell Art Needle Case (LA410136) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1850
condition
The needle case is in good condition. I do want to point out that the photos have portrayed the shells with as pink and honey in colour, where I would describe them as pink and grey. The best representation of its colour is the close up on the centre of the flower. A number of shells have been damaged and a few have fallen off the cover. Only one of the cloth pages in the books is free from holes with back page having the largest hole.
