Stunning Victorian Woven Hair Cross Pendant with Plaited Hair Chain

This absolutely stunning 19th Century Victorian antique woven hair cross pendant is so sublimely formed with the arms of the cross being woven and glued in spherical forms and finished at the end with yellow metal balls and the most darling tassels. The metal is not marked and I have not tested it, but I sense that in a piece of this quality it most likely is gold. The tassels are wonderful and look like they are made up of lots of tiny rings. The necklace maybe a handmade piece which was not uncommon during this period. It is simply plaited in the again dark brown hair and is made-up of 5 sections each of approx 25cm in length and joined with brass fittings. In the middle of the necklace there is a clip for one to attach the pendant.
