Superb Early Victorian Silver Vesta/cheroot Cutter

A most unusual mid-Victorian vesta and cheroot cutter combo. This appealing example has an engine turned body, with a lower compartment for matches. The upper compartment has an internal striker and a blade and aperture for cutting the cheroot tip. To the lid is a vacant shield shaped cartouche. A rare and interesting early example and a good collector's piece. Maker :- Richard Slack.
