A superb Georgian silver caddy shovel, dating from the beginning of the 19th Century. The handle is shaped and carved mother-of-pearl and the hallmarked scoop is shaped, to represent a coal shovel. Novelty pieces are always in demand and this fine example is both collectible and practical.
Maker:- Samuel Penbeton (not Pemberton as often mistakenly named).
