Description
Striking large late 19th Century (Meiji) Japanese large bronze horse made by the Tokyo Arsenal. Expertly modelled and cast, the stallion is depicted standing four square with its head turned slightly to the right. Raised on an oblong base, it’s inscribed underneath Tokyo Kosho sei (made at the Tokyo Arsenal). Excellent condition and patina.
