Superb Large Edwardian Silver Dressing Table Box By William Neale, Chester 1901

This superb solid silver sizeable dressing table trinket box was made by William Neale and is dated Chester 1901. Of serpentine form, it is very striking measuring over 6 inches long. The cover and sides profusely embossed with scrolls and foliage between concave spacers . Both front and cover with a vacant cartouche. The partially hallmarked piano hinged cover opening to reveal the original rich gilt interior. Hallmarks: W.N for William Neale. Chester Assay Mark. Lion Passant. Date letter "A" for 1901.
