Tall French Empire Walnut Chest of Drawers in the Neo Classical Style
This is a French satin walnut chest, known as a 7 day chest, it has 7 drawers, one for each day of the week. The chest is adorned with fine ormolu decoration in the Neo-classical style, it has tall caryatid heads on each side, these are cast in the finest detail, this decoration carries down even to their toe nails.
The chest is of very solid construction it has no creaks, the drawers run very smoothly all in good vintage.
The chest is 61” high 37” wide and 20” deep
