Purchased directly from a school in South Wales, we have a stunning oak cupboard of good dimensions sitting in its original finish with years of historic wear intact. Likely the best we have found this year, this one has avoided the lick of paint some get and has been fortunate enough to have stayed clear of the dipping tank, so what we have is genuine wear and over a 100 years of its history on display.
The piece sits well and as mentioned with age wear. Being oak it is reassuringly heavy with its attractive panelled doors, heavy brass knob and working lock and key. Inside we have original deep thick pine shelves which are fixed. This one benefits from sitting in a relatively warm place so it's dry and ready to place after a careful light clean in our workshop.
Seeking a true school cupboard - then this is worth considering!
When purchasing from us we include delivery in the purchase price which is based on a one person delivery for England and Wales. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, The Isles and for World-wide shipping. Please see our delivery page for details.
