This magnificent posy ring bears a hidden message inside the inner band which reads ‘Nodus . action amicitice’, which translates from Latin as: 'The act of friendship’. The outer side of the band is plain. This ring, circa the 18th century, bears the maker's mark 'RC'. A weighty ring at over 5g, it is in good condition with light marks commensurate with age.
