This outstanding mourning ring features a spectacular Old European Cut diamond in a square border applied with black enamel, which continues to the shoulders. The solitaire weighs 0.43ct.
There is an inscription on the inside of the band which reads 'Eliza Brown, Born 17th Nov 1813 died July 14th 1880'.
This ring, circa 1880, is hallmarked by the Assay Office of London for 18ct gold. It is in good condition with light marks commensurate with age.
