This incredible mourning ring features an outstanding foiled-back amethyst gemstone within a gold bezel setting. It is paired with two dazzling old mine-cut diamonds, totaling 0.33ct.
The back of the head features lined detailing, just for the wearer to admire. The band consists of scroll motifs, which are inscribed with the words 'Rob Bond, 1767 AG: 30.' in black enamel. The middle part of the enamel on the band has worn away in time.
This ring, circa 1760's, tests as 18ct. It has some wear to the enamelled band, and the stone settings are commensurate with age. The stones remain held in place without wobble.
