A boat-shaped, wide head holds a light-coloured opal cabochon flanked by two pinkish-red rubies. The head features ornate scalloped edging to both the top and bottom. The opal weighs 0.12ct and the estimated total of the rubies is 0.14ct. This ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham for 9ct gold in 1997 and is in good condition with light marks commensurate with age.
