Description
A good quality and impressive French tortoishell mantel clock. Dark red ground to the case with side glass apertures. A glass front door panel to the gilded dial. Individual enamel numerals and a name plaque to the base signed 'Thuret'. Pineapple finials to the stepped pediment and surmounted by a Cockrell.
An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1880.
Height 15" / 38cms Width 8 " / 20cms Depth 4 1/2" / 11cms.
