Description
An unusual and decorative trio of gilded pine columns which are architectural in size, with a palm trunk design standing on square block bases. They are ornately embellished with foliate designs and acanthus leaves throughout and have petalled flowers similar to daisies covering the band around the column below the ‘palm trunk’. At nearly 2.5 metres tall, these 3 columns will look great in a good sized interior with a baroque style and might particularly suit a large Victorian conservatory or sun room.
Dating to the 19th century, these are made of pine and have been sourced from the UK.

These have a ‘shabby chic’ feel in keeping with their age. The gold coloured paint is peeling from the square bases, revealing a muted green paint beneath, and there is also some peeling of the more bronze coloured paint from beneath the capital of one of them. In a few places, the wooden projections have been scuffed or slightly broken. However, these factors are sympathetic to the character of the columns. One of the three has a square stepped base in place, but this is missing from the other two.
