Twin-Fusee Drop Dial Wall Clock
Not the sort of clock you will find very often as twin-fusee clocks of this type are quite rare. This is a lovely example by ROTHERY of HALIFAX. The flame mahogany case is nicely polished with quality carved "ears" and a glazed aperture to the lower half of the case through which the pendulum can be seen working. The 12", white painted dial has black Roman numerals, nicely cut hands and is signed with the maker's name. The 8 day, chain driven twin fusee movement has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered staff and carries our usual 12mth full parts and labour guarantee. The clock strikes the hours on a bell with a lovely crisp tone. Rothery of Halifax is listed in "Loomes Clock Makers of the World" as working at the coal market, Halifax between 1866-71. All cards accepted.
