Twin-fusee Pillar Mahogany Bracket Clock

This is a very majestic and elegant bracket/mantel clock in a beautifully figured mahogany case with an equally impressive movement. Uniquely, the pendulum can be seen working through a glazed aperture to the underside of the dial. The case retains it's original French-polished case with a lovely, age-related patina. It has a stepped, canted top with pineapple finial. To the front are applied rosettes and to the sides are lions head carrying handles and a glazed rear door. It stands on brass bun feet. The 8" white convex dial has black Roman numerals and fine cut "birds beak" hands. It has a cast brass bezel. The 8 day, twin-fusee, 5 pillar movement strikes the hours on a bell with a crisp resonating chime. It has just been fully overhauled by our Bhi registered staff and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.
