Unusual Pair of French Art Deco Ebonised Armchairs in a Crushed Velvet

A very comfortable pair of French Art Deco 20th century ebonised armchairs upholstered in an off white crushed velvet. The design and shape of these chairs say it all, they have elegance and style. Having a sprung vase shaped inset square top back , the armrest scrolled and piped retaining a feathered cushion seat. It is of U shape design having an ebonised front facade with shaped and tapered legs to the front and rear. Very stylish, these chairs having been upholstered in a top grade crushed velvet with the timber having been French polished to an excellent finish. These armchairs are extremely comfortable, they have a very soft sprung back with a large feathered cushion seat.
