Unusual Turkish "Bidjar Bijar" Rug - Very Unusual Palette with Bird Motifs

This is a fine and distinctive mid 20th Century Turkish interpretation of a Persian Bijar rug pattern. It is Camel coloured ground with Botehs in a type of chain linking. Notice the Bird motifs within the main dark russet border and the unusual light red abrashing tonal colouring within the Butterscotch ground colour. (This is not colour run). Finely knotted with a great overall look. It has been handwashed (see last images) and de-dusted. Fine even velvety wool pile, minor fringes each end, all good.
