Stunning antique Victorian 1.55 carat cat's eye chrysoberyl and 1.10 carat diamond, pearl and 18 carat yellow gold bar brooch; part of our diverse antique jewellery collections This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold. The bar brooch is ornamented to the centre with a feature 1.55 ct cabochon cut cat's eye chrysoberyl, displaying fine chatoyance*. The feature chrysoberyl is encircled by fifteen pavé set Old European round cut diamonds. The bar design is embellished with a further six larger pavé set Old European round cut diamonds. The brooch has a 5.5mm pearl terminal to either end. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp, and is fitted with a ring loop from with a safety chain may be secured if so desired. *Chatoyance is an optical phenomenon in which a band of reflected light, known as a "cat's-eye," moves just beneath the surface of a cabochon-cut gemstone. This antique chrysoberyl cat's eye brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 ct gold. The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
