Stunning snake wood and hallmarked 18 ct gold walking stick or cane. Rare to find one with such a high grade of gold and not the usual silver top. The gold was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1891 and makers mark for Charles Nicoles of Charterhouse Street, Holburn in London. The gold top is in fabulous condition with only very minor signs of age and use. No real dinks as you can see in the pictures. This cane has been really well looked after over the years. The snake wood of the shaft gives it great weight and balance as well as looking wonderful. The ferrule is original and made of brass. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
It measures 89.5 cm 35 1/4 inches in length, the pommel is 3.1 cm 1 1/4 inches wide and 4.5 cm 1 3/4 inches tall.
