Description
This is a lovely late 19th Century Victorian antique Brigg of London ebony hard wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1887 and makers mark for Thomas Brigg & Sons, 23 St James Street, London. Retailers stamp for the Famous Brigg of London which is now part of Swain Adeney Brigg in Piccadilly, one of the top retailers of the period. Silver ball top sitting into a silver collar. Unusual with the wrist strap eyelets in the sides so that you didn't drop your cane and damage it. A planished finish so that the top almost replicated a golf ball. The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
