Here we have a Victorian carved French Jet panel of rectangular form, enclosed in a gilt frame. Often used a mourning brooch by Victorian women, they are once again becoming popular across Europe as well as further afield.
However, because of their quality and impact, they are increasingly worn to compliment everyday fashion items. French jet refers to a type of black glass jewellery popularised during the Victorian Era.
