Beautiful Victorian garnet & pearl ring. This ornate ring is hand crafted in 18 carat gold. Set to the centre with a splendid dark red cabochon garnet It is surrounded by a halo of 16 gorgeous creamy white pearls with a wonderful deep lustre The garnet is bezel set and the pearls are enhanced with a pretty castellated surround They are set above an extremely attractive scalloped basket. This is completed with elegant decorated shoulders The ring has a closed back typical of the Georgian / Victorian This fabulous ring looks so lovely when worn. The central garnet is 8 mm x 6 mm 16 approx. 2.3 - 2.5mm natural pearls The head is 15 mm x 13.5 mm It stands 7.5mm proud of the shank The size is O (UK) 7 1/4 (us) it would easily re size This Victorian ring dates to around 1890.
