Victorian Carved Mahogany Settee Item Code: S27-1142 An impressive Victorian mahogany settee, featuring a richly carved show-wood frame and generous proportions. The shaped back is surmounted by an elaborate pierced and carved crest, centred by bold scrolling foliage and flanked by further carved scrollwork. The padded back is deeply buttoned, with substantial upholstered scroll arms supported by finely carved mahogany uprights. Raised on turned front legs with carved roundel decoration, together with turned rear supports. The settee is currently upholstered in a warm coral-coloured floral fabric. A particularly decorative and substantial piece, well suited to a large drawing room, reception room or entrance hall. The existing upholstery shows wear and would benefit from re-upholstery.
