Victorian mourning locket pendant, 15ct gold, pearl

A beautiful, petite Victorian mourning, locket / pendant. Oval shaped with a black enamelled domed cabochon front, it has a pretty, single forget me not flower inlaid with yellow gold and set with seed pearls. The pearls are of an alternating tone between creamy and bluish and this creates a lovely look. It has a decorative faceted gold jump ring attached to the top. To the reverse there is a glazed locket compartment with a yellow gold bezel. A truly beautiful piece of Victorian mourning jewellery. Could be added with other pendants for a stacked look or on its own on a fine gold chain. Lots of detailing packed into a dainty piece. English make, mid to late Victorian era, unmarked, tests as 15ct gold. Condition: Good used condition overall, some surface wear commensurate with age, there is a sizeable chip missing from the top of the oval, see photos.
