Victorian Oak Twin Pedestal Desk with Black Leather Writing Surface A substantial and characterful Victorian twin-pedestal desk, crafted in solid oak and retaining its original black leather writing surface. A proper, weighty piece with excellent proportions and strong presence — ideal for a study, library, or statement home office. The leather top remains in very usable condition, showing only light, age-appropriate wear in a few small areas. The surrounding oak frame is sound and well-preserved, with a rich patina developed over time. The desk offers excellent storage with nine drawers in total, all fitted with matching original wooden knobs. The drawers run well overall; the bottom left drawer is slightly stiffer than the others but fully operational. The left top drawer features a lined interior. One handle on the left pedestal shows minor historic loss but remains functional. The back of the desk is slightly darker in tone, consistent with age and use. There is some minor veneer lifting and small losses to the sides, but nothing structural or distracting, small sign of historic worm underside of pedestal (treated) — all entirely in keeping with a genuine Victorian piece. The desk dismantles into three sections (two pedestals and the top) for ease of transport. No key present.
