Victorian Pocket Watch Chain 9ct Rose Rolled Gold 1890s Double Albert & T Bar

Victorian Gentleman's absolutely magnificent and highly impressive 9ct (professionally tested) rose rolled gold (has a lovely soft pink 'blush' and is known in the U.S.A as gold filled), chunky 'trombone' link Antique pocket watch chain / double Albert (by Thomas Hopwood) with original big stamped T bar and original matching stamped dog clips. C~1890's. Rare now days to find one complete and with all the original fittings - they were often split up and made into Ladies bracelets. (Pocket watch shown is for display purposes only and NOT included). Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 41.5cm / 16 1/4" total length and weighs a heavy 35.7 grams. Bright crisp chunky 'trombone' links (measure 2.3cm length x 6mm width) with oval roller links in between - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them, reflecting the light beautifully. The two central 'trombone' links are clearly stamped to one side (within a recessed, lozenge shaped cartouche) with the makers initials; T*H - Thomas Hopwood (one of the leading jewellery manufacturers of the era, established in1852 and based in Birmingham, England). Original large T bar to centre (measures 3.9cm length) which is correctly suspended from a short length of oval roller link chain and again clearly stamped within a lozenge shaped cartouche; T*H. Secure robust original matching dog clip to each end (both operate correctly) which are also stamped with the makers initials; T*H. Complete with a little length of roller link chain just below the T bar and original large round link to end - so allowing the wearer to display a fob if desired. Excellent bright clean condition with no absolutely no damage, wear or patina (looks to have had very little use, perhaps only high days and holidays) and just a few fine (micro) surface scratches (showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
