Victorian Pocket Watch Chain Large Fob Red Glass Fox To Base 1890s

Victorian Gentleman's large and highly unusual rose & yellow gilt pocket watch chain Antique fancy fob featuring a red glass running fox intaglio to base. C~1890's. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph). Measures; 3.7cm height (including the top ring), 2cm width, 1.8cm depth and weighs a very respectable 9.2 grams. Extremely ornate Victorian rose gilt fob (has a lovely pink 'blush') which is beautifully adorned with a heavily scrolled decoration to front and back with a fluted pyramid design around. The wide yellow gilt base is holding an oblong shaped, bevel edge burnt red glass 'stone' (measures 1.7cm x 1.5cm) which features to centre an intaglio of a running fox. Wide bail with original robust yellow gilt top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no wear, tiny bit of overall patina, some loss of the internal red enamel to base and chip to one corner commensurate with age.
