Description
This 19th Century Victorian antique rosewood Wellington chest has a striking top and sides in Goncalo Alves and the fronts with fine rosewood. It is fitted 6 graduated drawers with the locking bar that opens on hinges. The locking bar enables you to lock all the drawers using just the one key. All the drawers have the finely turned knob handles.
A Wellington chest gets its name from Duke of Wellington the British war hero of the Battle of Waterloo and other battles. These were the original filing cabinets for the elegant home.
They can be used for a multiple of uses and become a piece of furniture that is invaluable to the family home.
On occasions customers have been disappointed to miss an item as they e-mailed their enquiry instead of phoning, I would recommend that if you wished to get the piece, please call rather than e-mail. We are very friendly and easy to deal with. This Victorian rosewood Wellington chest is a green product and has not affected the environment we live in.
We spend time choosing the best product, an antique item that must meet the strict criteria to be placed in Hingstons of Wilton stock.
